Regardless of whether you are a hardcore tapir fan or whether you have only just discovered the world of tapirs, you will find a wide range of information on this site about World Tapir Day.
If you are new to the World Tapir Day community, you may wish to read some of the FAQs on this site to learn about the wider goals of World Tapir Day - they extend far beyond raising awareness of the four extant tapir species in Central and South America and in South East Asia.

There is also the official World Tapir Day store, which has been created to raise funds to help support tapir conservation projects worldwide. All profits made through the shop go towards tapir conservation projects.
Tapir Caper: Carving for WTD
In Canada, Chris Jackson has been making wooden tapir sculptures to raise funds for the Tapir Preservation Fund. Not only has he used his woodworking skills towards a good cause, he's also made small booklets about tapirs to include with them.

Celebrate World Tapir Day at the Zoo Negara, Malaysia
From 23-27 April, the Zoo Negara in Malaysia is celebrating World Tapir Day with an exhibition and collaboration with the local public transport provider KL Hop-On Hop-Off for a 'Tapir Convoy' on 26 April.
